Kids & Youth Class
We host three styles in the kids and youth classes. They include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Mixed Martial Arts(MMA) and Kickboxing/Muay Thai.
BJJ involves the art of controlling an opponent on the ground by maintaining positional dominance and using submissions through joint manipulation and/or chokes. The development of these skills are taught with relevance to their age. Students will develop skills in discipline, courtesy, integrity, self-confidence and self-control.
MMA involves striking, wrestling, and BJJ/grappling. The students gain the opportunity to learn a variety of techniques and skills. This will enhance their ability in discipline, confidence and self control.
Our Kickboxing/Muay Thai class comprises of techniques suitable for ‘MMA Fighting’. You will learn the art of using 8 limbs including punching, kicking, knees, elbows to become a complete striker with strength and conditioning. This class provides a great opportunity for beginners to try a fighting style class, enhance their fitness while learning correct techniques to skill you for life.
All classes involve fitness, co-ordination and team work.
Team CFS runs their our own grading syllabus for BJJ in association with John Will from Will / Machado BJJ Australasia. The MMA grading is conducted under the CFS syllabus. All kids and youth students partake in our grading syllabus as a part of their term training.
We only encourage our students to compete at local BJJ events when they’re ready. We provide full support with extra training for competitions and coaching on the event day.
